I saw Prince Caspian a few days ago. Good movie. I'm almost done with school. One more half day tomorrow and then I'm a senior. I got back my story that I posted on here. I got a 73 out of 75. YAY! Thank you for all that helped me. Here is the edited edition. Its basicily the same as the other version. The Beginning of the Golden Age King Daniel was severely ill. He was on his deathbed and everyone knew it. There’s nothing anyone could do. Finally after 3 days of being bedridden, the king died. There was no one to take his place. The prince was off fighting the war with all the other solders. The Queen had gotten deathly ill and was next in line to die just as the king had done. The next in the line were the three vassals, David Trebmal, Tyler Noroerm and Nieco Ocorn. The three of them decided to wait until Joshua, the prince, to come home to lead and to lead in his absence. Even though others didn't want him to, Nieco had decided to secretly send out a messenger to tell the prince of the king’s death and the queen’s illness. The messenger, Isaac, had a long journey in front of him because Triton, the capital, was on the coast of Tribition. The army of Tribition advanced through the country of Legieon at a speedy rate, but still took a long time because Legieon was such a large country. Joshua and his troop of knights were out in front clearing the way. They were the best fighters to come out of Tribition. Joshua was a superb swordsman, on or off a horse. Zach, Joshua’s right hand man, was the best ax man ever. Jacob could shoot a enemy from 500 ft away without aiming. Aaron used lances both throwing and short-range, both very lethally. Hurk was a freak of nature. He didn’t need a horse because he could run faster than them anyways. He also never used a weapon because he was the extremely strong and was nearly invincible. His only weakness was he wasn’t the smartest there ever was. And so the messenger trekked on. He finally saw the back end of the army. It had been a long week of traveling. As he was leaving the Land of Tribition, he had heard that Tyler had been made king and the others were his right hand men. He was close to the royal family and knew this was all wrong. He finally met with the general of the last troop. He asked him where Prince Joshua was. The general told him that the Prince was leading the troops from the front lines. And so he kept going. The Prince and his troop decided to camp out for the night. The horses were tired and there was no one in sight to be worried about. So they made a spot where they were, fed the animals, fed themselves, and went to bed. In the middle of the night, they heard the sound of a single horse coming at them. Knowing it wasn’t an enemy they casually came out of their tents. There they saw Isaac, who was a good friend of Joshua. He told them about what had happened, how Nieco had sent him, and how the vassals had taken over with Tyler as their king. He told them that they needed to go back to reclaim the throne before the vassals did more harm. Then Zach said “What about the war? We are in the middle of it you know. We can’t just leave.” “Why not?” Replied Joshua. “The whole army is behind us. They can take care of it. We need to get back.” So they turned around, told the highest general they were going back, and went back. It took them three days to get back. When they reached the border, everything had changed. The once prosperous city on the border was now greatly becoming poorer and you could see it. They kept going seeing all the poverty becoming more and more apparent. They finally made it to Triton. There were guards everywhere. They group tried to get through but couldn’t. “Sorry.” The guards said, “Only the Prince is allowed in the city limits.” The others told Joshua to go on without them. The guards then took the prince to a dark wet room. They told him to wait there and King Tyler would see him shortly. Three days past, Joshua knew no one was coming and had to get to the king by himself. He scaled up the wall and jumped out the window. Silently, he sneaked around to the Palace. He broke into the throne room and saw King Tyler sitting on his throne. Before Tyler could say anything, Joshua killed him in one piercing blow with his sword. “Why thank you, Joshua. That’s one less person I have to deal with.” Said a voice behind him, “you’re back so soon. Nieco shouldn’t have sent that messenger. Oh well. The sooner the better.” Suddenly a sword was swung down at him. Joshua dodged it but just barely. “David! What are you doing?” asked Joshua. “Why, securing my place on the throne, of course. I’ve already poisoned your father and mother and you killed Tyler for me just like I knew you would,” replied David. David swung again, but Joshua blocked. They kept fighting back and forth. “Give it up Joshua. I taught you everything you know.” Said David. “But not everything I know.” Replied a voice from the window. And as Jacob said it, an arrow flew through the air, into David’s leg, crippling him. Using that opportunity, Joshua killed David. Everyone came in through the window. Joshua thanked them all for all their help. Then a guard came in and told them the city was under attack from the country from the north. Apparently the war in the west was a diversion to get all the troops away from the city. None of the guards had training so it was all up to Joshua and his troop. Being the best they were, they defeated them all and Joshua took his place on the throne. They found Nieco in a dungeon and they freed him and he went back to being a vassal. Joshua made Zach and Aaron new vassals, and Hurk and Jacob top Generals. Isaac became a knight because of his supreme bravery. King Joshua ruled his kingdom wisely and fairly. His reign became known as Tribition's Golden Age. |
